Le Quatorze Juillet

A few weeks after we moved in, I was going to a relay station to pick up a package (way better than La Poste and gives me an excuse to go into random places like musical instruments stores that I would otherwise never go into) and there it was, the Eiffel Tower. The nice thing about Paris not having high buildings is that you can see it all over the place.

So for Bastille Day, instead of taking the metro and braving the crowd of one million, we just walked a few blocks to rue Blomet. “It’s not the same” David complained. But if we had been there he would have been complaining about the crowd. He’s becoming very Parisian.
